The Learning Academy

My name is Paige McAllister better known as “Mrs. Paige.” I have been married to my husband for 25 years, we have three beautiful children, ages 14, 16, and 18. I have been working in education for over 12 years. I began working as a substitute aide at the Campo preschool in the Mountain Empire Unified School District until I was offered the opportunity to work on the elementary side, where I taught physical education and drama. I continued to sub when needed in the preschool, but mostly worked on the elementary school side.  A few years later a new TK early education class was started and I was asked if I would be interested in working with the youngers again, I was thrilled.  I worked in the TK classroom for almost three years and then took another great job within the same district as a one on one for a blind student. I worked with her from the time she was in kindergarten until third grade. I consider myself a well-rounded educator and I am thrilled to finally have my own classroom. I hold an Associates of Occupational Studies degree and am finishing up my Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts and Science. I am continuing to take early childhood development courses in order to be the best teacher I can be. I love working with children of all ages and I am over the moon to be working in the 3-year-old Preschool Class.

 

My hobbies include going to concerts, attending soccer games (professional and my own kids), swimming in my pool, and generally hanging out with my amazing family. I love dark chocolate, ice tea, coffee, and my favorite meal of the day is breakfast (I love bacon).
